Currently the operation is doing a lot of “up-fitting” of existing chassis, but with the advances they are seeing in charging ports and supply chain availability, the future is bright! Making the decision as to whether electric vehicles are the right answer for your operation depend on a very specific set of variables: Is the weight of your load (pay load) appropriate? Is your range, the KWH per mile appropriate and is the ROI of 3 years appropriate for the initial capital expenditure? With the charging station credits MidAmerican Energy is offering and some state incentives off-setting the initial expense, it could very well be feasible.
