The Iowa Podcast? What is it?
The Iowa Podcast is real Iowans, real talk, no drama. We hear you. You want to hear from Iowans, talking about Iowa news that you care about. You don’t want the political drama and spin that comes with it, and you don’t want paywalls or gated content!
The show is an interview-style format, featuring weekly 30-minute discussions with Iowans you want to hear from talking about current events, business, culture, news, and politics from the most objective lens possible. (We’re really good at it.)
It seems like everyone is pushing an agenda today, but you won’t find that poop here. On The Iowa Podcast we believe the following:
- Never, ever edit or take a guest out of context.
- Ask tough questions with kindness and respect.
- Talk about the topics that impact Iowans.

Who is The Iowa Podcast For?
“As a non-native Iowan, can I still listen to this podcast, or are there entry requirements?” Yes you can, and no there aren’t! This podcast is for Iowans, Iowa expats, or Iowans at heart. We welcome everyone.
Except for Cornhuskers…
…ok, Cornhuskers are allowed, but don’t make us regret it.
